Instructions
  1. Step onto the stopped treadmill.
  2. Increase the speed thanks to the control buttons.
  3. Maintain a proper posture and a light stride.

A light stride helps to limit the shocks in the joints. You may prefer a gentler exercise for your joints like the elliptical bike.

Tip!
Most machines let you adjust the elevation so you can increase the difficulty.
Tip!
If the machine won't start, check the emergency stop button which is often wrongly used to stop the treadmill.
Tip!
In case of side stitch, perform some exhalations trying to expell as much air as possible.
